Rafa Tom is a Fine Art professional and Art educator living and working in Dubai, United Arab Emirates , Lebanese origin and Canadian citizen. Member in FCA, Federation of Canadian Artists. Rafa received the High Honorary Art Award ‘Zeus’ from Lecce Italy for her outstanding artworks. Recognised as the best Contemporary artist in the UAE by BeingShe Organization with excellence award in Art 2023. Her artwork was showcased in the Times Square New York on the TSX screen in 2023 Awarded Art Ambassador for the year 2021 representing her country by Art Connoisseurs from Rome Italy.
She brings a wealth of experiences having lived in many countries: Lebanon, United States, Canada, Saudi Arabia, and United Arab Emirates. Rafa graduated from the College of Fine Arts Lebanese University, and graduated from the College of Education Arab Open University KSA with a high diploma degree in Art Education with distinction. A lot of her artworks were reserved in the University and the city hall. Rafa loves to work with many materials and mediums including: oil, acrylics, pastels, water-colors, charcoal, mixed media textures, and ink. Rafa lived in Los Angeles and Canada for many years where she was a free-lance artist. She relocated to Saudi Arabia and worked as a director of the Fine Art program at international schools in Riyadh. She received awards for her excellent work as an art educator. She moved to Dubai in 2006 and since then has worked as a free-lance artist and started producing artworks and participated in different art exhibitions in UAE and outside the UAE, also in different countries in Europe. Rafa’s artworks have been exhibited at the MEAM museum Spain and at The Carrousel Du Louvre Paris and in different galleries in Italy and London. Rafa participated in a lot of Art exhibitions in different hotels in Dubai such as: : Novotel, Sofitel, Pullman Hotel, Grand Mercure Hotel, DoubleTree by Hilton, Ibis, … with different organizers. Rafa did 4 solo exhibitions in Dubai UAE , a duo art exhibition in DoubleTree Hotel downtown Dubai and 1 solo exhibition in Riyadh Saudi Arabia. Rafa is being selected with the best 50 artists in United Arab Emirates by Magzoid Magazine Global 2021/2022/2023 also in the special coffee table book. Rafa has been selected from the best 50 artists in the Celebrity Masters Contemporary Artists in Italy 2023 volume 1 and 2, also in the Artisti Encyclopedia of Art book in Italy. Also Rafa’s artworks can be seen in different international art magazines around Europe and the Middle East region such as: Artventurous / Artmosphere Magazine, Magzoid Magazine, Art International Contemporary Magazine Italy and BIANCOSCURO Art Magazine also in Waves and Runways Magazine New York.
