Melissa Awwad is a contemporary artist based in Lebanon, specializing in expressive, symbolic, impressionistic and surreal fusions that explore the intersection of subjects like conciousness, meaning, grief, healing and personal experiences.
Using acrylics Awwad creates vibrant compositions characterized by controled chaotic layers! and subtle color shifts.
She earned a BFA from the Lebanese University after a long career in body arts/tattoos and makeup arts.
She has exhibited in local group shows, including "Theatre Casino Du Liban" ,by Stouh Beirut, "Nabad" art gallery, and "Salle Montaigne" at the French Embasy, by WEHUB and Expertise France, where she was a third prize winner.
