ABOUT MARIAM YAHIA HAMZE
A Lebanese visual artist and visionary, with a master’s degree in fine arts. My work reflects the environment and culture in which I grew up in, a form of accumulated memories portrayed in abstractions of notions like nostalgia, tradition, and nature.
Through mixing mediums of acrylic, watercolour, oils, textures, written poetry or stories, and a various palette of materials, I begin to express myself through a canvas. And for my art to be genuinely expressive of my story, it must be treated with sensitivity strength, and fineness, as art in its core is a mirror reflecting ones’ journey.

ARTIST STATEMENT
I'm a detail-oriented person, creative in nature and experimental in my work and the mediums of choice. I'm patient and thorough, and I give my paintings the time they require to reflect my vision. I'm a visual person, so my inspiration comes from my surroundings: my home, my family, the people in my life, but most of all my past. My work is aimed to reflect the love i feel, of the nostalgia to warmer days.
